I am a 62 divorced female , disabled for about 15 years and am trying to live on my Social Security benefits of $808.00 per month. I have recently been diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis and need a total knee replacement surgery. I live in a townhouse apartment and have lived here ever since my husband left over 7 years ago. My landlady has been very considerate by keeping my rent low and will continue to do so. My problem is that I will be unable to stay here as the apartment has stairs that do not fit with a total knee replacement. I have found a way to fix this problem with an electric stair lift chair, which will enable me to get up and down the stairs without extra strain on my knees. I am not able to afford this chair that I desperately need. I have been to several sites online to see these chairs and there are many different styles. I only need the lowest priced lift but am totally not able to pay the almost $2,000.00 required for the lift and the shipping charges to get it to my home in Texas. If there are any kind people who may read this and want to help, or if anybody reading this has a lift that is no longer needed, I would be forever grateful for your help. I cannot move into any apartment for what I pay now, so moving is not a possibility. I can stay mostly downstairs , but my only bathroom facilities are on the top floor. If anybody reading this is willing to help, I would be forever grateful for your kind and pure generousity. Thank you for any consideration with my problem. Cordially, Glynda in Texas
